About Us

Mission Statement:
Specializing in bath, body and aromatherapy, The Horton Bath Collection offers handcrafted, natural skin care
products for your personal use and enjoyment. I am a true believer of nourishing the body as well as cleansing it,
relaxing and de-stressing. I'm also a true believer that we need to slow our pace... Take some time for ourselves to rejuvenate, pamper, and enjoy a little me time.

Lay back and drift away in your fragrant, relaxing bath. Embrace the waters and the fragrances while in your warm shower. Close your eyes and imagine you are somewhere peaceful, laying in a field of grass, on a beach, in a hammock, or floating in a boat, enjoying soft music, taking in the sun...   unwind in your Horton bath Collection waters.

Please keep in mind each product is 'handmade' and individually packaged. Not every batch will look identical to the
last. Be assured that each batch is made in earnest, with the same attention to detail, with as much enthusiasm and
love as the first. I strive to make each batch better than the last, and I'm always searching and trying new product for
my loyal customers... you all!

History:
Initially a hobby, I started to provide natural, fragrant and herbal bath and body products for my three sisters. My
sisters are very difficult to shop for. They are very very picky. The one thing we seemed to each enjoy was bath and skincare products. The more fragrant the better! So I began to study and practice the art of soap making. That was in 1995. My youngest sister Jacqueline was my greatest inspiration and staunchest supporter. She encouraged me, traveled by train monthly to assist me, advised me as well as displayed and peddled my products from her office as well as to local bath shops. In 2000 I finally opened my very own bath and body boutique in downtown Fairfield, California, and had a very pleasant experience being a shop owner. But being that I was still employed full-time, it became a bit too much to work both jobs, tend to my family, make product and remain an Army Reservist, so after 3 years, I eventually closed the store.

My sister Jacqueline passed away of cancer in June 2008 and I was devastated. I stopped making soap and everything else.

Retiring in 2012 and reminiscing on past conversations between Jacqueline and myself. I knew she would want me to pursue my passion. She still inspires me. I have recently opened another store. It is so wonderful to meet customers face-to-face, and I have missed that aspect very much. I'm excited that I can once again concentrate on handcrafting soap as well as other skincare products and other wonderful bath and body specialties for my favorite people... you all.
